i got a facebook invite to my 10 year high school reunion today and it sent waves of horror through my body.
the reunion is in november so of course i’m not going to fly over just for that.
i would love to write the group that “due to my 3 continental weddings this year and my recent move to the south of france (and even though my husband and i get 30% off all flights because he works for an amazing aircraft manufacturer) it will be very hard for me to make it. have fun!”
one of my favorite students is in town visiting toulouse and the area with her husband and she wants to meet up!
how cute is that?!

and it starts with the in-laws.
glad they live on the other side of the globe.
Remember that video going around about how to open a bottle of wine with your shoe?
Michaeleen Doucleff, who runs NPR’s global health tumblr, insisted that we try it. And it did not go quite as well:
Meg Vogel made the video!
i tried this when we moved from hamburg to toulouse, since my corkscrew was in one of the many boxes being shipped.
it didnt work. knowing our walls in this flat now, im glad it didnt work, i would have a shoe sized hole in the wall.
